Benefits of Creativity for kids

Welcome to Rex & Rose - the place for squishy adventures with air dry clay!

We believe that creativity and curiosity in kids is amazing and that these skills should be nurtured and celebrated. That’s our inspiration and the purpose behind our business - activity kits designed to spark creative curiosity in kids, based on our own experience as parents!

Now don’t get us wrong, for us crafting with our kids is all about THE FUN and time spent together as a family. However we also love seeing Jack Rex developing important skills like critical thinking, problem solving, self-expression, collaboration other important life skills. As well as having lots of fun!

Here are just some of the benefits of kids engaging in creative activities:

  1. Thinking and figuring stuff out: When kids get creative, they’re exercising their brains and learning how to solve problems in all sorts of cool ways.
  2. Feelings and sharing: Being creative lets kids express how they’re feeling, whether they’re happy, sad, or excited. It’s like giving them a special way to talk about what’s going on inside.
  3. Believing in themselves: Making stuff and being creative helps kids feel good about themselves. It’s like saying, “Hey, I did that, and it’s awesome!”
  4. Making up new stuff: Being creative means using their imagination to come up with all sorts of wild ideas. It’s like being an inventor of cool things!
  5. Playing well with others: When kids get creative together, they learn how to work as a team, share ideas, and get along with others. It’s like throwing a fun party where everyone gets to join in.
  6. Bouncing back: Sometimes things don’t work out the way kids planned, but that’s okay! Being creative teaches them that it’s okay to make mistakes and try again. It’s like learning a cool new trick after falling off a bike.
  7. Having fun learning: Being creative makes learning fun! It’s like turning boring stuff into an exciting adventure where they get to explore new things and discover stuff they never knew before. So, letting kids be creative is like giving them a superpower that helps them grow, learn, and have a ton of fun along the way!

Squish, squash, create. Adventures await!
