Do I need to bake my clay creation to make it hard?

No. There’s no need for baking. Rex and Rose air dry clay dries and hardens naturally in the air from 20 mins to 3 or 4 days depending on size.

What are the ingredients in Rex & Rose Clay?

The main ingredients in our air dry clay are foaming powder, water, safe colour pigments and glycerine.

Is the clay safe?

We take safety very seriously at Rex and Rose. Our air dry clay is non-toxic and it confirms to all UK regulations along with everything else in our kits.

However,  Rex and Rose air dry clay is only intended for modelling and should never be eaten. Adult supervision is always recommended when using our kits. Not suitable for 0-3years.

Is the clay gluten free?

Is Rex and Rose packaging recyclable?

Our cardboard packaging and plastic air dry clay pots are recyclable and reuasable. For idea’s on how to reuse them see the activity cards inside your kit. 

What can I do if the clay is a little dry?

If the air dry clay is a little dry and cracking when making your creations try adding a drop of water to the palm of your hand and then rub, roll and squish the clay. Just a drop though!

How should I store the clay?

Put clay you aren’t using back in its resealable pot to make sure it stays fresh and soft. 

Do not store in heat or direct sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place above 5 degrees and below 30 degrees.

Can you soften the clay again after drying?

No, once the clay has dried hard it’s not possible to soften the clay again.

If the clay is a little dry when creating you can add a drop of water and knead it.
